According to an article published on the website, Black Christian News Network 1, Hillary Clinton was just recently noted as saying: “Many young people are leaving the Church today because Christianity has become too judgmental and alienating for them..”.
One of the many problems cited in the article is that Hillary Clinton aims to dilute the understanding and definition of what it means to be a follower and believer in Christ. Brothers and Sister, we should never, ever, confuse the identity of religion with that of belief in God.
The number one thing that has divided and splintered the true church has always been the acceptance of the world’s views and statutes over the commandments, statutes, and ordinances of God. True belief in God does not come with man ordinated identities and denomination but faith. You can be religious and still be failing to have faith and meet God face to face. see Genesis 32:24-30.
He has given us an identity. We need not ask ourselves: “Who am I…?” Our identity in God forbids us to deny and doubt our creator because our very lives are a gift from God. I cannot stress enough the importance of the commandments in our lives, of His statutes, and His ordinances. This IS what sets us apart, and names us His children. Do not be deceived, know them. The word knowledge and to know has such a deep definition that I can only begin to describe. It is depth, to know God, and to acknowledge Him. Don’t you know that in the end times this will be the very deception that God has warned us about? You must be knowledgeable and understand that you may withstand and overcome. see Revelation 14
To say that God’s commandments are the persecuting factor in all of this is dangerously blasphemous and filled with the same pride that drove Satan to his damnation. Now obviously she isn’t truly coming from a biblical standpoint and is ignorant of the facts as it pertains to the affliction of the unfortunate and of those who serve God. Both the biblical account and historical evidence shows that it was the Roman government and those in positions of both power and influence that dominated both the Jewish and unfortunate populations in both Israel and Rome. That in fact, it was the governors like Herod who sought the favor of the Caesars in order to advance themselves all at the expense of those in suffering. That when Christ came, he didn’t speak about ending poverty, racism, and other social pressures. He spoke about enduring and overcoming your afflictions through the Holy Spirit who will afford you all these things. His message of deliverance was so powerful that it transformed the lives of those whom He touched in more ways than one. That is not to say that God cannot change the things in your situation or even make the entire thing go away, but there is a definitive line between placing your trust in mankind which is flawed, and a living God who has no limits.
Yet here it is being delivered to a mass audience of people who fill the qualifications of the poor, downtrodden, and those most affected by the social-economic circumstance and situations they find themselves in. The black, the poor, the gay, the hurt men and women who feel that the world has forgotten them. Sadly and regrettably to state that I do agree with one point brought up, and that is the fact that the modern “church” has dropped its responsibilities given to us by Christ to serve the poor, the afflicted, the widow, and the orphan. No, God does not call us to social justice because He alone is the God of justice. However, we are to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to care and love our brethren. If we do not act on the commission given us, we are and have been for some time, handing over the authority to Satan, much as Adam did.
In this article, she and her host, Pastor William J. Barber II of Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina have a conversation about social justice, which Clinton goes on to compare Christ to justice and calls black lives to matter a “theological statement”. Ladies and Gentlemen, faith in God and His holy word are not statements, neither are they to be politicized for the sake of manipulation or belonging to any one political affiliation.
Ephesians 5:6
“Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.”
The sentiment shared by the two in this podcast works ardently against the will of God and is constructed to divide both the body of Christ and to place creation above the creator. It is in and of itself very idolatrous. We must not allow the world and government to deny God’s sovereignty and power. While it’s true we are moving forward into an uncertain future and that we can begin to see the persecution of God’s church emerge more and more, we must pray and stand against it. We must do our part to ensure that the world knows that the distinction is clear and that we all must choose today who it is that we will serve.
I pray that your heart is strengthened and made as iron the way God harden Moses heart when he had to come face to face with Pharaoh and the hardship that came with defying man made mandates.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
