Headship and Sovereignty of God–Part 1–page 1

  • The Headship and Sovereignty of God
  • The headship of God is purposeful, through it a large component of His promises are realized and still the balance rests upon the satisfaction of the law amidst the life and crucifixion of our Messiah.
  • The satisfaction of the law here meaning that while we being human,  are flawed and unable to carryout the commandments of God in perfection ,Christ did through His unity with God the father ; being the only begotten son of God, personified God’s nature of perfection and purity.  This in no way eliminating the law itself, but reinforcing the way it  shapes the moral character and obedience of His children by lending an example of distinction.    In fact, His superiority in moral character and in spirit was what met God’s standards of the acceptable sacrifice who’s blood was to be victorious over sin and death.
  • Like wise, anyone who should come to the acceptance of Yeshua  is  therefore also bound to him.  In this unity  and through full submission , we are empowered to overcome and to allow His power to destroy the sin and death in our lives.  Learning to rest under His provision and protection of His headship.
  • Still the culmination of God’s will is centered around the unique and essential principals of His covenants, statutes and commandments. These are designed to complement and to be put into application along side the teachings of Yeshua as a part of the new and everlasting covenant in order to unlock the potential of prayer and righteousness of God in our lives under His headship, providence, authority and will. Being of Himself the exclusive embodiment of complete justice, righteousness, knowledge and power, His sovereignty  does not require the affirmation from his creation, but doing as He sees just in order to bring into fulfillment His will for Israel and all of mankind. That in His great and abundant love for us, his children, we may be rewarded in salvation and blessing and with it  all of Israel and all who come to Him in the acceptance of His son Yeshua.
  • Being likened unto our father in fulfillment of the law in our lives, loving one another truly, serving one another selflessly and doing that which is acceptable unto the Lord.
  • For the fruition yielded out of the discipleship of the gospel not only imparts the Holy Spirit, but the gifts and blessings thereof, brought forth by God. In it  lies the redemption and deliverance of His people from sin, death, generational and consequential curse and the devil himself. It is through the extension of God’s headship through creation with its intricate and elaborate detail bears testament of His great Power and the sovereignty; specifically that of Adam and in direct relationship with the natural born male identity that the order of God through this ordination gave way to order and authority as given over him(Adam) to rule and govern.
  • Of which we are reminded also  in the Aaronic blessing, which in the Hebrew yields a much deeper illustration of the power of the Headship of the father and the safety and authority of His right hand. For no other than our Messiah sits at the right hand of the father and no greater power is garnered but there also.
  • It speaks about the power and authority given unto the headship of each family , that through the deeds of the hands of the headship, in which the power and authority lies.  Not only has the headship have the power to lift one up out of troubles or to elevate but  therefore also have the power to destroy the works of the devil.
  • 1 John 3:8
  • He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
  • Why the fall mattered…
  • In Adam’s rendering of the God given authority over all of creation over to the devil out of his own volition was not only  a direct disobedience to God, but gave the enemy of God control and ownership of the kingdoms of the earth and all the riches in it. In this transgression, the disruption of the divine order of God altered His plans for mankind shifting from blessings under the protection and provision of God by the entering of sin through the door opened to sin that would later give way to curses. Firstly in Eve’s surrender to temptation in an act of not only disobedience but doubt of God.   Perhaps the most damaging , Adam’s submission to Eve’s will .
  • Genesis 1:28
  • And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
  • It is because of these reasons that we must  rely on God’s sovereignty and divine understanding in obedience to his ways that we may not endure the world without it, making us  susceptible to the trappings which the devil has devised and utilizes in every aspect of society and of human psychology against us. For those outside the realm of faith, identifying and assimilating these concepts maybe hard to at first. But to those who earnestly questions them, you will find that as you move forward to test them, you will more often than not discover yourselves awaken to God.
